Join us for a 3 course tasting menu by Chef John Beddoes, accompanied by expertly paired wines from Ricca Terra Vineyards of Riverland, Australia. Meet Ricca Terra owner and winemaker, Ashley Ratcliff, and listen to the rich history of his 10 individual vineyards and the premium grape growing techniques that he has implemented to ensure their sustainable farming philosophies are achieved.

About Ricca Terra
Ricca Terra vineyards occupy 70 hectares of land, which were originally farmed by returned soldiers from the first and second World Wars. Some of these original soldier settlement vineyards still exist and are the true treasures of Ricca Terra. Aligning climatic conditions with alternative grape varieties that allow for sustainable farming in the Riverland, SA and the crafting of premium vegan wines is the core philosophy that drives Ricca Terra’s vision of creating one of Australia’s great vineyards.

About the Owner and Winemaker
Ashley Ratcliff has a background in Viticulture and has always been passionate about the wine industry. In 2003, Ashley and his wife, Holly purchased their first vineyard in Barmera, South Australia. Their vision was to plant, nurture and make wine from grape varieties that were best suited to Australia’s warm and dry climate. Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot quickly made way for Nero d’Avola, Montepulciano, Tinta Barroca, Fiano, Vermentino and many other Mediterranean grape varieties. Ashley has been fortunate to have been recognized for his achievements and has been awarded: Gourmet Travellers Viticulturist of the Year, ABC Rural’s Horticulturist of the Year, Riverland Wine Industry Winemaker of the Year and he has also been included in Wine Business Monthly’s Top 50 Stars of the Australian Wine Industry.
